Members of the Trump family are all of notable height, effortlessly inching past the 6 foot mark. Donald Trump is stated to be 6’2, while his parents were reportedly both imposing figures themselves. Even the U.S. President’s sons are quite tall: Donald Trump Jr is 6’1 while Eric Trump is 6’4 but nobody comes close to Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s youngest. At 19 years old and at a height of 6’9, Barron Trump is not only the youngest of his siblings, but the tallest among his family members and quite literally stands a head apart. However, his massive built cost him his dream career, Eric Trump revealed.

Eric Trump recently appeared on the PDB podcast for an interview where he spoke at length about his family and in the course of the discussion, revealed that his little brother was a massive soccer fan. Barron initially wanted to pursue a career in the sport until he realized that his height could be a barrier to him having any sort of professional career in it. “So he loved soccer until he realized that there’s never been a 6ft 9 soccer player ever,” Eric said.

Trump’s youngest was a huge soccer fan

Barron’s love for soccer has also been previously mentioned by the President who, while declaring that the 2026 FIFA World Cup would be held in the United States, said, “I have a son that loves soccer, Barron, nobody’s ever heard of Barron right, have you ever heard of Barron?” Trump’s allusion about Barron’s relative secrecy may be because, since childhood, Trump’s youngest has led a private life and been shielded by his mother, Melania Trump. He recently started making headlines when he enrolled into NYU for his undergraduate program and started appearing in public life.

He went on to praise his soccer skills saying Barron was, “a good soccer player too,” however he noted that his height was slightly extreme for a player. “he’s a little tall for soccer but that’s okay.” Recalling an incident when the President suggested basketball instead, Barron reportedly responded that he preferred soccer. “I said you’re gonna be a basketball player. He said, well, ‘I like soccer, Dad,’ actually. I thought… at your height, I like basketball better, but you can’t talk them into everything,’”

Barron may have abandoned dreams of a sports career

On the podcast, when Eric was asked whether Barron still wanted to become an athlete, the older Trump scion responded, “I do not know. I think he’ll use his brain.” referring to the fact that Barron is currently in college pursuing a business degree at NYU’s Stern School of Business, following in the steps of the entrepreneurial Trump family who have always partaken in matters of trade and commerce.

Barron has already taken his first steps in to wealth accumulation. According to Forbes, The teenager has a net worth of $150 million which he attained with his ventures into cryptocurrency. He co-founded the company World Liberty Financial, a crypto company, with his father and older brothers in 2024, two months before the Presidential elections. When Trump won, the company’s fortunes exploded and the Trump family acquired an additional $1.5 billion, out of which 10% or $150 million belongs to Barron, making him one of the wealthiest teenagers today.
