(LIVE UPDATES): Top South Korean actors Park Bo Gum, Lee Byung Hun, Ju Ji Hoon, Lee Joon Hyuk and Park Hae Soo are in contention for the Best Actor award at this year’s Blue Dragon Series Awards. Taking place today at the Paradise Resort in Incheon, the acclaimed K-drama awards night has even pit the best of the best leading women of the industry Park Eun Bin IU, Hyeri, Cha Joo Young and Seo Hyun Jin against each other for the Best Actress honour.
The 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards stage has lit up thanks to music act JAESSBEE and rookie girl group KiiiKiii, with one A-lister after the other taking on the duty to present various award categories. The awards night stalwarts Jun Hyun Moo and Im Yoona, aka Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, reclaim their spots as the main hosts of the event organised by Sports Chosun.
2025 Blue Dragon Series Awards eligibility, nominees
Original streaming content released from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025, was eligible for nominations. As a result, fan-favourite like Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines, Squid Game 2, Weak Hero Class 2, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, and Karma, Disney+ series Hyper Knife, U+Mobile TV’s Friendly Rivalry and TVING’s Way Back Love among other titles were plausible options to be considered for the high-stakes competition.
The most nominations were bagged by When Life Gives You Tangerines, bringing the total as high as 6. Karma, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and SNL Korea Season 6 claimed the second spot with 5 nods. Here are the winners of the much-awaited South Korean awards show.
