The 33rd edition of the Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards, a ceremony which honours contributions to film, drama, K-pop and musicals, added to the seemingly endless lineup of year-end celebrations this week. Held on December 10, the illustrious South Korean awards event rolled out the red carpet for numerous stars at the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel.
The 2025 offering of the annual ceremony presented five grand prizes (Daesang). Alongside the Busan International Film Festival, the Grand Bell Awards and the Blue Dragon Film Awards, the Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards stands in as one of the four majors award ceremonies honouring Korean culture.
Livestreamed via PRISM Live Studio this week, the event saw the likes of Squid Game actor and singer Yim Siwan (or Im Siwan), Park Hae Lin, singer-actress Yerin, Cha Joo Young, and Jung Ryeo Won, among others were in attendance. Moreover, K-pop idols and groups, including Yerin, Nam Woo Hyun, Jung Daehyun, CLOSE YOUR EYES, SAYMYNAME, xikers and others also took home golden trophies on Wednesday.
