The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key and results for the University Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 exam on Saturday (February 22). Candidates who appeared for the national-level test can check their scorecard and answer keys on the official UGC NET website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The UGC NET December 2024 exam was conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format between January 3 and January 27, spanning nine days and 16 shifts across 558 exam centres in 266 cities. A total of 8,49,166 candidates had registered, but only 6,49,490 candidates appeared for the exam.
Among the qualified candidates:
Total 5,158 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professorship.
As many as 48,161 candidates qualified for Assistant Professorship only.
Also, 1,14,445 candidates qualified for PhD admissions only.

- Enter your application number and date of birth
- Click submit to view your results
- Download and save the PDF for future reference
Each question in the UGC NET exam carried two marks with no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted answers. The NTA has clarified that the UGC NET December 2024 record will be preserved for 90 days from the result declaration date. Additionally, no re-evaluation or re-checking of results will be entertained.
