A conference is being hosted by the Maharaj Sayajirao University of Baroda for the first time. This conference will focus on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the Western Zone. It is on October 26, 2023 that the conference will be conducted from 9 am to 5 pm.
The official notification says that the UGC has been striving to fulfil the vision of the NEP 2020 ensuring that the benefits reach a large section of the aspirational youth in a time-bound manner. The notification also mentions that there are five zonal committees that have been constituted to facilitate the universities to develop a road map for an effective implementation. These committees also involve Vice Chancellors of Central Universities, State Universities, Private Universities and Deemed to be Universities. They have been constituted in five zones namely the Northern, NorthEastern and Eastern, Western, Southern and Central Zones.
The Conference is of very high relevance and significance for all the stakeholders and thus the UGC has requested the Universities and Colleges to join the live streaming of the conference as it would benefit the faculty, students and staff.
