JEE Main session 2 2024: The final answer key for the second session of the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) has been published. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the April session took place from April 4 to 12, accommodating more than 12.57 lakh candidates. Students can access the final answer key on the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
According to a source from NTA speaking to indianexpress.com, the results for the JEE Main session 2 are expected to be out today. These results will include the cutoff for JEE Advanced, as well as the ranks for all India and state toppers.
JEE Main 2024 was conducted in two phases this year: January and April. For candidates who participated in both sessions, their best score from JEE Main will be considered for the final merit list.

JEE exam is offered in thirteen languages - English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali and Gujarati.
Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) was formerly known as All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
Last year, the result was announced on April 29. The exams were conducted between April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
Session 2 was at a higher level (tougher) than the session 1, said Ramesh Batlish, managing partner and head FIITJEE Noida centre, reported The Indian Express.
"Students near my area in Trichy have reported that they found the January session to be easier,” said Batlish.

Candidates will need their login credentials to view their results. For instance, date of birth, application number along with the password while visiting the website jeemain.nta.ac.in
A copy of the JEE Main final scorecard will be emailed to the respective candidate after the results are declared, according to NTA.
The JEE Main Session 2 Final Results are expected to come on April 24th as per media reports. An official confirmation for the same is still awaited.
JEE Main examination cut-off will be prepared based on the following categories:
For General Category students, cut off is likely to be 92.19
For General EWS category it will be 79.37076923
For OBC Category it is expected to be 77.67
The Cut-off for Scheduled Caste is 59.3
Scheduled Tribe category cut-off is expected to be around 46.86153846
Candidates will be allowed to attend CSAB and JoSAA Counseling after the JEE Main session 2 results are out. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for announcing the counseling dates.
The marking criteria in JEE Main are as follows:
A candidate will be given four marks for each correct answer and one mark will get stuck off for every wrong answer.
There is no provision for revaluation or rechecking of the copies and any request on the same will not be addressed.
The registration date for JEE Advanced 2024 will commence on April 27th.
If a question is dropped then the student will be awarded full marks against it and even if he/she has not attempted the questions, as per NTA norms.
Candidates who have appeared for the examination said that all the questions that have come for JEE Main sessions were based on NCERT books from classes 11 and 12.

The final percentile scores for JEE Main 2024 are calculated by tallying the performance of all the students who have taken the examination, as per NTA. The scores are measured on a scale of 0 to 100 for each session of examination conducted.
