The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode, is set to release the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 answer key today, December 4. The CAT 2025 took place on November 30, and candidates who appeared for the exam can check and download the answer key by logging in to the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
CAT is considered one of the toughest entrance exams in India for admission to management colleges for MBA and other higher management studies. Every year, one of the 22 IIMs is selected to convene the exam, and a senior faculty member from the designated IIM is then appointed as the CAT convener.
The CAT 2025 was held in three slots, 8:30 to 10:30 am, 12:30 to 2:30 pm, and 4:30 to 6:30 pm, at 339 centres spread across 170 cities in India. A total of 2.95 lakh candidates registered for the exam, out of which 2.58 lakh candidates took the test. The overall attendance was approximately 86 per cent, as per the exam convener.
CAT 2025: Steps to download the provisional answer key and response Sheet
The CAT 2025 answer key will be available on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. Candidates can follow the steps provided below to download the PDF:
- Step 1: Visit the official IIM CAT website.
- Step 2: Click on the Candidate Login tab.
- Step 3: Enter the application number/user ID and password.
- Step 4: The link for the provisional answer key and response sheet will be provided.
- Step 5: Click and download the files for future reference.
CAT 2025 answer key: Objection raising window
The window for raising objections against the CAT provisional answer key will open from 12:00 pm on December 8 until 11:55 pm on December 10, 2025. To object against the answer key, candidates need to log in with their credentials, such as application ID and password, and click on the “Objection Management” link.
The institute will consider all valid objections raised, and a new/final answer key will be released accordingly.
CAT 2025 answer key: Question paper format
The CAT 2025 question paper had 68 questions in total:
- 24 questions were from the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section.
- 22 questions each were from the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA) sections.
