The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 today, April 22. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their results on the official website — upsc.gov.in. The result document includes the names of candidates selected for appointment to various civil services.

2. Navigate to the ‘What’s New’ section on the homepage.
3. Click on the link titled ‘UPSC CSE Final Result 2024-25.
4. The result will open in PDF format — use the search function (Ctrl+F) to find your roll number or name.
5. Download the PDF and save a copy for future reference.

UPSC also announced that Shakti Dubey has topped civil services exam 2024, while Harshita Goyal and Dongre Archit Parag got second and third ranks respectively. Union Public Service Commission also informed that as many as 1,009 candidates have qualified for civil services exam 2024.
The UPSC CSE is held to recruit candidates for the two All India Services and more than 25 Central Civil Services. The 2024 edition of the UPSC CSE (IAS) exam, which was notified on February 14, 2024, offered 1,056 vacancies. Around 3,000 candidates were shortlisted for the interview stage.
The examination follows a three-tier selection process—Preliminary, Mains, and the Personality Test (Interview). The final merit list is compiled based on a candidate’s cumulative performance in all three stages.
For the 2024 recruitment cycle, the interview round commenced on January 7 and concluded on April 17. Through this drive, a total of 1,132 vacancies will be filled.
In comparison, the 2023 interview process ended on April 9, with the final results announced shortly after on April 16. Following that timeline, the final results for the 2024 exam are expected to be released soon.
