The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the results of the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) Preliminary Examination 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exam in March can now access their results on the official website — sbi.co.in.

The preliminary examination was conducted on March 8, 16, 24, and 26, 2025. Those who have cleared this stage are eligible to appear for the SBI PO Main Examination. The call letters for the main exam will be issued shortly.

How to Check SBI PO Prelims Result 2025

  1. Visit sbi.co.in
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the homepage and click on the ‘Careers’ section
  3. Navigate to ‘Recruitment Results’ or go directly to this link
  4. Click on the ‘PO Preliminary Exam Results’ link
  5. You’ll be taken to the login page: Check Result Here
  6. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth
  7. Submit the details to view your result

SBI PO 2025 Selection Process

The recruitment process is conducted in three phases:

Phase-I: Preliminary Exam

  • Objective test carrying 100 marks (no sectional cut-off)
  • Candidates around 10 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted based on overall performance

Phase-II: Main Examination

  • Includes an Objective Test (200 marks) and Descriptive Test (50 marks)
  • Descriptive answers must be typed immediately after the Objective Test
  • Minimum qualifying marks are required in each section
  • Around 3 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for Phase-III

Phase-III: Final Selection Round

  • Comprises a Psychometric Test, Group Exercise (20 marks), and Personal Interview (30 marks)
  • Psychometric Test results may be shared with the interview panel
  • Marks from Phase-II and III are normalized to 100 for the final merit list
  • Preliminary scores are not included in the final ranking

Note: A penalty of 0.25 marks applies for each wrong answer in objective tests; no penalty for questions left unanswered.
