The pass percentage for the science stream in the plus two exams has dropped to 84.84 percent this year from 87.31 percent in 2023. In Commerce, the pass percentage stands at 76.11 percent, down from 82.75 percent last year. Humanities also experienced a decline, with a pass percentage of 67.09 percent, compared to 71.93 percent in 2023.

In the 2024 Kerala Plus Two results, Ernakulam district secured the highest pass percentage at 84.12%, whereas Wayanad recorded the lowest at 72.13%. Comparatively, in the previous year, Malappuram district boasted the highest count of A+ students, totaling 4,897, while Ernakulam stood out as the top-performing region with an impressive pass percentage of 87.55%.
With a decline of over 4% in the pass percentage this year, State Education Minister V. Shivankutty has declared an investigation into the underperformance of government schools in the recent Plus Two exams. He stated that the inquiry report must be presented within two weeks. Only 7 government schools managed to achieve a 100 percent pass rate this time.
Students who failed to get passing marks in the exam will be able to take the save-a-year exams. This year, these exams will be held from June 12 to 20.

About 39242 students have secured A+ grade in Kerala Plus Two. Last year, 33,815 students had secured the A grade.
