Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended an invitation to university students and young professionals interested in pursuing higher education to join the G-20 University Connect Finale programme. This event is scheduled to be held at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre on September 26, according to an official statement.
PM Modi took to LinkedIn to express his thoughts, stating, “Over the past year, the G-20 University Connect programme has united the youth of India, showcasing their remarkable achievements. This initiative, spanning an entire year, has yielded exceptionally satisfying results, demonstrating how our young generation has become vibrant cultural ambassadors, forging enduring bonds with the G-20 community.”
“On that day, the G-20 University Connect Finale will take place at the iconic Bharat Mandapam – the same place where esteemed world leaders converged for the G-20 Summit a few days ago,” he added.
The Prime Minister said that it has given the young the opportunity to learn more about India’s G-20 Presidency, the issues we have focused on during our Presidency, spark a sense of global community, and get ready to be active creators of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, the statement mentioned.
“The G-20 University Connect initiative has seen the successful execution of numerous programmes within its framework. These initiatives have taken place throughout India, drawing enthusiastic participation from various higher education institutions. Interestingly, what initially commenced as a university-focused programme soon expanded its scope to encompass schools and colleges, thereby reaching an even broader audience,” PM Modi shared in his LinkedIn post.
