Piramal Group announced the launch of Piramal School of Leadership (PSL) Jaipur, Rajasthan under the aegis of Piramal Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the group, the foundation aims to train 150,000 government officials annually, as per the official announcement.

Under the PSL, the foundation is establishing five specialised schools initially, to become operational and capable of annually accommodating and training of more than 150,000 middle managers from state and government agencies, as well as professionals from CSR initiatives and non-profit organisations, the statement added. 

The foundation stone was laid by Ajay Piramal, chairman, Piramal Group, Swati Piramal, vice chairperson, Piramal Group and Aditya Natraj, CEO, Piramal Foundation, in the presence of over 1000 people, including senior Government officials, youth and women changemakers from the foundation, and a cross spectrum of business and thought leaders.

Spread over an area of 32 acres, PSL is planning to commence operations in December 2025 and aims to be a unique centre of learning that will enable holistic development of those enrolled. The School of Education and Systems Change has been at the forefront of instilling ‘Sewa Bhaav’, pioneering the transformation of educational systems by emphasising the concept that personal change drives systemic change through the Piramal School of Leadership Campus at Bagar, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. Through the new Campus at Jaipur, PSL will be able to foster a larger network of dedicated government leaders devoted to enhancing service delivery, in addition to providing domain-specific functional training. 

The School of Health will be dedicated to improve the public health systems by actively assisting governments in implementing the National Health Mission through initiatives that enhance public health and medical training, as well as quality measures aimed at improving facilities and the overall standard of care for population health. 

The School of Climate and Sustainability will specialise in imparting learning on enhancing water security and promoting sustainable practices. 

The School of Justice will endeavour to improve the legal system through digitalisation and grassroots initiatives. Lastly, the School of Inclusion concentrates on mainstreaming inclusivity, especially for Persons with Disabilities, by equipping institutions to provide integrated education and livelihood training.

As per the statement, the school will also target youth leadership development through its Gandhi Fellowship programme and women leadership development via the Karuna Fellowship initiative. Additionally, it will serve social sector partners for capacity building and social entrepreneurs, guiding them to impact millions of lives. Corporate sector professionals will also have opportunities to engage and contribute to public life through programs at PSL.
