Physics Wallah (PW), an ed-tech platform, has inaugurated the PW IOI School of Technology (PW IOI-SOT), a four-year residential programme focused on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This initiative aims to bridge the gap in the supply and demand of digitally skilled talent within the Indian software industry. Situated strategically in Bengaluru, the institute claims to have enrolled more than 150 students for its programme, according to an official release.

The orientation programme for the recently admitted students took place at PW IOI in Bengaluru on October 7, 2023 and classes are scheduled to commence on October 9, 2023. PW claims that right from the first week of the programme, students will have the opportunity to engage with three mentors hailing from Google and Microsoft, which will facilitate the development of connections and insights. Furthermore, the platform asserts that the students will be guided by 20 full-time experts with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Additionally, students will have access to guidance from 80 more industry experts affiliated with tech giants like Google, Apple and Microsoft, the release mentioned.

“Through PW IOI, we’re not just welcoming over 150 talented students; we’re providing them with a platform to excel, learn, and enhance their skills. Our mission is clear: to bridge the gaps in traditional learning and equip these students with the skills they need to succeed in the rapidly evolving tech industry. We aim to help students overcome the challenges they face in acquiring the right skills for tech jobs,” Prateek Maheshwari, co-founder, Physics Wallah, said.

PW claims that the newly inaugurated programme combines real-world experience, industry-focused curriculum, experienced faculty, up to 100% scholarships and real-world projects for student success. Additionally it offers personalised guidance, four internships, networking and global exposure. Moreover, PW IOI introduces the School of Management (SOM) on November 1, 2023, aims to foster innovation and to prepare students to tackle real-life challenges, solve startup and industry problems, and turn ideas into action, it added.
