JEE Main city intimation slip 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the JEE Main 2026 session 1 city intimation slip soon, possibly in the first week of January 2026.
Once it is out, candidates appearing for the January session of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) can check and download the slip from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Mains 2026: Exam date and timings
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam will be held from January 21 to January 30. Exams will be conducted in two shifts every day – the morning shift from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.

JEE Mains 2026: Courses and colleges covered
JEE Main Paper 1 is held for admission to undergraduate engineering courses at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions, along with colleges and universities recognised or funded by state governments.
The exam is also used as the qualifying test for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the IITs. JEE Main Paper 2 is conducted for admission to BArch and BPlanning courses.
Languages available for JEE Main 2026 exam
The JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in English at all exam centres in India and at international test centres, allowing candidates to choose English as the exam language regardless of their location.
