The National Skill Development Corporation International (NSDC International) and Indian ed-tech company PhysicsWallah (PW) have launched Bharat Innovation Global Private Limited (BIG), a joint initiative aimed at positioning India as a global education hub. This collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between academia and industry by offering flexible, technology-driven learning pathways tailored to the evolving demands of the workforce.

BIG focuses on equipping students and professionals with industry-relevant skills, starting with the formal integration of skill training into school curricula for classes 11 and 12. Its efforts extend to learners in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), Polytechnics, universities and the workforce, creating a lifelong learning ecosystem. Additionally, BIG emphasizes capacity building for government employees, equipping them to adapt to modern governance challenges and technological advancements.

“Through our partnership with PhysicsWallah, we are bridging the gap between education and industry needs. The Bharat Innovation Global (BIG) initiative will empower millions of learners with essential skills for the future job market,” Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC, MD, NSDC International, said.

Aligned with policies such as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and recent UGC guidelines allowing online courses, BIG aims to redefine the educational landscape. By leveraging digital platforms and technologies, it provides scalable, accessible, and personalized learning experiences, integrating tools like AI-driven career guidance, gamification, adaptive learning systems, and secure Learning Management Systems (LMS).

“Education is a journey that demands collaboration, innovation and adaptability. Through BIG, we aim to make education more inclusive, equipping learners with skills to navigate a constantly changing world. This partnership with NSDC International allows us to foster growth at every stage of a learner’s life,” Alakh Pandey, Founder, CEO, PhysicsWallah, said.
