The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will open the choice-locking facility for the NEET UG stray vacancy round today, October 25, 2024. Candidates interested in securing a medical seat in this round must submit their choices and lock preferences by 8 am on October 26. This represents the final opportunity for applicants who haven’t yet been assigned a college to obtain a spot in MBBS or BDS programs this year.
Eligible candidates can access the choice-locking option for the NEET UG stray round at [mcc.nic.in](http://mcc.nic.in). This will likely be the concluding round of NEET counselling for 2024. According to MCC, 1,184 seats remain available for this round.
Per the counselling timeline, seat allotment results will be posted on October 29, after the allocation process from October 26 to 28. Candidates should wait until the results are published and download their official allotment letter from the MCC portal before reporting to their designated college or institute.
Candidates who do not accept the allotted seat may be barred from taking the NEET exam next year, and any fees they have paid will not be refunded.
The stray vacancy round results will apply to 15% of seats in government medical and dental colleges, as well as all seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, AFMC, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
For any technical support, institutions can contact MCC between 10 am and 6 pm at the following numbers: 011-69227413, 69227416, 69227419, and 69227423.
