The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Security Education (MSBSHSE) is all set to begin the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations for 2025, with Marathi as the first subject from today (February 21, 2025.) The examinations will begin from 11:00 am to 2:00 PM across various centres in the state. Students are advised to reach the examination hall early so that they will be able to use the additional 15 minutes given for reading the question paper. The Marathi examination paper consists of 80 marks in total and 20 marks have been awarded for internal assessment, making the total number to 100 marks.
Examination pattern
The Marathi question paper will be divided into five sections and will cover a variety of questions like essay writing, comprehension passages, grammar exercises and letter writing. The questions have been set up in a way to access the student’s comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in the Marathi language.
Benefits of practising previous year questions papers
To strengthen their preparation, students are encouraged to practice previous year question papers. These resources will let the students know the different kinds of questions that can come and will get them well versed with the exam pattern. Students will also get a grip on completing the question given the deadline. Attempting last year’s questions will also help in boosting their confidence level.
Grading system for Marathi question paper 2025
The MSBSHSE awards grades to the students by dividing passed candidates into equal rights (1/8th of the total). The students who have scored the highest 1/8th will be granted A Grade, those whose marks are between 60-79% will fall in Grade B, Grade C will given to those who have score marks between 45% to 59%, those securing between 33-34% will be given Grade D. On the other hand students who will get attain less than 33% marks will need sit for the supplementary examination.
