The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released guidelines for the document verification process for KCET 2025. Candidates who have applied for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test can review the notice on KEA’s official website at kea.kar.nic.in.

Candidates who have claimed Clause Code ‘A’ but have not studied from 1st to 10th standard in Kannada medium, or under Rural, Religious or Linguistic Minority reservations, yet have their seven years of study verified through SATS, will receive a Claim Certificate marked as Successfully Verified. These candidates do not need to visit any college for verification, as their applications are considered accepted.

However, candidates who have claimed Clause Code ‘A’ and studied for 10 years from 1st to 10th standard while also applying for Kannada Medium, Rural, Religious, or Linguistic Minority reservations will receive a Claim Certificate stating either ‘Claimed Verified,’ ‘Claimed Not Verified,’ or ‘Not Claimed.’ Such students must visit the Principal of their PUC/12th standard institution or the nearest Government PU college with the relevant original documents (as per KEA’s prescribed format) along with one set of Xerox copies for verification.

The schedule for document verification for students who have entered Clause Codes ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘I’, ‘J’, ‘K’, ‘L’, ‘M’, and ‘N’ (excluding Clause Code ‘A’) will be published on KEA’s website.

Students who have entered Clause Codes ‘E’, ‘F’, ‘G’, ‘H’, or ‘O’ must have their academic documents verified at their PUC/12th standard institution. However, documents related to Defence, Ex-Defence, CAPF, or Ex-CAPF categories must be submitted separately for verification at KEA.

Additionally, 371(j), Caste, and Caste-Income Certificate RD numbers are being verified online. Candidates should ensure that their certificates are valid and that they enter the RD numbers correctly in their application.

The Principal of the respective colleges will confirm the verification by clicking “OK.” If any forged or fake documents are detected, KEA will disqualify the candidates from the counselling process and initiate criminal proceedings.

Candidates are advised to carefully follow the instructions to ensure a smooth verification process.
