As per the tentative datesheet for the class 12 board examination and JEE Main Session 2, there are high chances of dates getting clashed, making it difficult for students who are appearing for both examinations. The board examination is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education every year, and this time it is scheduled to conduct the class 12 examination between February 15 and April 10. The JEE Main Examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in two sessions, and as per the tentative schedule, the exam will be held between April 1 and 15, 2024. It should be noted that the final datesheet has yet to be released by the authorities.
The date clash is not a new thing for students because almost every year they have to face this management and prepare accordingly. There are many times when students have had to raise their voices to solve this recurring issue. Sometimes the state governments have to be involved to prevent scheduling conflicts.
The final date is yet to be announced, but according to CBSE, the dates must be released before 55 days. In a recent statement, CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj reported the examination date to be February 15, 2023. The statement says, “The board has resolved to commence the 2024 examinations on February 15, 2024.”
There is a chance that the dates of the JEE Main and CBSE Board examinations will directly collide if the board sticks to its original plan of starting board examinations on February 15, 2024. The JEE Main Session 2 examination will take place between April 1 and April 15, 2023.
When the JEE Main’s first session was scheduled for January of last year, several candidates pushed for its postponement. They raised objections to the critical exam’s timing, which was only two weeks before board exams and would interfere with practical exams. Thousands more candidates also used social media sites to express their concerns.
