The Indian School of Hospitality (ISH), a Gurugram-based hospitality and culinary arts institution claims to incorporate the dynamic needs of the hospitality industry into its curriculum. The institution emphasises that its curriculum is designed to evolve in tandem with the industry, nurturing a new generation of hospitality professionals who are as adaptable as they are skilled. The insitute claims that its programmes targets a diverse audience, including high school graduates, culinary enthusiasts and industry professionals, Kunal Vasudeva, co-founder and managing director, Indian School of Hospitality, told FE Education. “The wide range of offerings ensures that there is a programme tailored for every individual’s unique journey and aspirations. Through industry collaborations with Les Roches, École Ducasse, a Switzerland-based Hospitality school, The Leela, a five-star hotel and others, we ensure that our students gain exposure to global standards, internships and a network of industry leaders,” he said.
ISH claims to offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of Hospitality and Culinary Arts. The programmes include a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Arts (Honors) (BA.Hons) in Culinary Arts and postgraduate programmes in Hospitality Management. Furthermore, it also claims to provide diplomas and experiential programmes. For the comprehensive four-year undergraduate programme, the fee structure amounts to Rs 7.87 lakh, encompassing Rs 3.32 lakh for accommodation and meals. In contrast, the fee structure for postgraduate programmes is Rs 7.50 lakh for the entire 11-month duration. Moreover, diplomas and experiential programmes offered by ISH have durations ranging from nine-eighteen months, with fees varying between Rs 8.60-16.50 lakh.
ISH claims that it possesses a total enrollment of 360 students across its undergraduate programmes. Additionally, the institution anticipates a growth in its postgraduate programme in Hospitality Management, with plans to accommodate 100 students in the upcoming academic year. It further claims that its Diploma courses attract around 100 students annually. “In essence, our enrollment strategy goes beyond mere numerical expansion; it focuses on deliberate scaling that aligns with our dedication to educational excellence and industry relevance,” Vasudeva said.
Moreover, ISH asserts its commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations through its organic farm. The institution states that it adheres to a farm-to-table philosophy, cultivating a diverse range of vegetables, herbs, edible flowers and fruits for daily kitchen operations at ISH. “The cultivation of diverse produce on this farm not only ensures the freshest ingredients for our kitchens but also integrates the principles of organic farming into our educational framework and culinary practices. Through this initiative, ISH not only prioritises sustainability but also imparts a profound respect for the environment and the importance of sustainable practices to its students,” he explained.
