The Department of Post (India Post) is closing registration for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) 2024 recruitment today, August 5, 2024. Aspirants who haven’t applied yet can submit their applications through the official India Post GDS website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Following today’s deadline, candidates will have a chance to make corrections to their applications from August 6 to 8, 2024.

This year, India Post is seeking to fill a total of 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak positions across 23 postal circles nationwide. Notable vacancies are available in Rajasthan (2,718), Bihar (2,558), Uttar Pradesh (4,588), Chhattisgarh (1,338), and Madhya Pradesh (4,011). Selection will be based on a merit list derived from candidates’ Class 10 exam results.

Eligibility Requirements for GDS 2024

Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have completed secondary school (10th grade) with mathematics and English, either as required or elective subjects, from any Board of School Education recognized by the Indian government or relevant authorities. Basic knowledge of computers, cycling skills, and financial literacy are also necessary.

Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old as of August 5, 2024. There is relaxation for candidates from reserved categories.

  2. Click on the “Registration” tab on the homepage.
  3. Enter your email address and other basic details to register.
  4. You will receive a registration number and a unique password.
  5. Return to the homepage and click the “Apply Online” link.
  6. Select your preferred postal circle and input your registration number.
  7. Fill out the application form with required details.
  8. Upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee.
  9. Save a copy of the completed form for your records.
