The most recent data released by the admissions office of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur for the MBA batches of 2023-25 reveals a significant level of interest among working professionals in seeking admission to the institution. According to the statistics for the MBA 2023-25 cohort, out of the total of 321 students, 126 have accumulated 12-24 months of work experience, while 116 possess more than 24 months of work experience. Additionally, 19 students bring 6-12 months of professional experience, with only 60 students being freshers, according to an official release.

Within this cohort, there are 170 students with an engineering background and 151 students with a non-engineering background, shedding light on the heightened interest of engineering students compared to their non-engineering counterparts at IIM. Further examination of the data reveals that out of the 321 students, 62 are female, while 259 are male, the release mentioned.

In the MBA Analytics 2023-25 batch, which consists of 170 students with work experience, 39 students have more than 24 months of experience, 48 students possess 12-24 months of experience, 11 students bring 6-12 months of experience, and approximately 72 students are freshers. Moreover, within this group, 81 students have non-engineering backgrounds, while 89 students hail from engineering backgrounds, as per the release.

“IIM Kashipur is becoming the only choice for working executives owing to a specifically devised environment for professionals with some years of industry experience to have high ranking careers in India and abroad.  We are also giving up to 10 points weightages to students with work experience,” Abhradeep Maiti, chairperson, admission, IIM Kashipur, said.
