Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) has announced the upcoming flagship event, Research Innovation and Incubation Showcase (RIISE) 2024, slated for March 15th-16th, 2024. This gathering aims to to bring together figures from academia, industry and government, creating a collaborative platform to translate academic excellence into real-world impact. With a focus on the overarching theme of ‘Build for India,’ this year’s event aims to unite innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers committed to advancing indigenous solutions, according to an official release.

“Build for India” encapsulates a movement championed by visionaries dedicated to tackling national challenges with local ingenuity and practicality. From addressing healthcare disparities to bridging digital divides, the theme embodies a vision of impactful solutions rooted in local needs and context. It honours individuals working tirelessly to shape a brighter future, empowering grassroots initiatives and fostering collaborative ecosystems for a more inclusive and prosperous India, the release mentioned.

“RIISE will highlight some really fascinating work that the students and faculty are doing, some of which carries the potential to bring a change in society. The poster presentations will highlight recent scientific research, developments in technology, and upcoming prospects. Attendees will get the opportunity to network with colleagues and specialists, share ideas, and consider possible joint ventures in RIISE,” Pankaj Vajpayee, dean, corporate relations and entrepreneurship, said.

Jaswinder Chadha, President and CEO of Axtria, will grace the event as the chief guest, while Anku Jain, managing director of MediaTek India, will deliver a keynote address. The showcase will feature engaging talks and panel discussions covering a wide range of cutting-edge topics, exploring the societal implications of emerging technologies, as per the release.

IIIT-D claims that, since its inception in 2015, RIISE has served as a crucial platform for discussions on innovative technologies and research opportunities.
