Great Lakes Institute of Management in Chennai has recently achieved AACSB accreditation, a recognition that places it among the world’s foremost business schools. Founded in 1916, AACSB is the oldest global accrediting body for business schools and stands as the world’s largest business education alliance, fostering connections among educators, learners and businesses, according to an official release.

Adding to its accolades, Great Lakes, Chennai claims to have already earned accreditations from AMBA (UK), NBA and SAQS. This achievement propels Great Lakes into an exclusive league of the top 10 business schools in India with the coveted ‘Double Crown’ of global accreditations. A business school attains double crown status by securing any two out of the three international accreditations, namely AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, the release mentioned.

“The AACSB accreditation is a recognition of the high standards that we have set over the years in delivering rigorous, innovative and industry relevant content in the classroom and preparing world-class future ready business talent. The AACSB accreditation further reinforces our commitment to achieving world-class standards of scholarship and pedagogy with the aim of having a lasting impact on business as well as society,” Suresh Ramanathan, dean, Great Lakes Institute of Management, said.

Furthermore, Great Lakes claims to boast a robust academic faculty comprising more than 50 full-time members and an additional 150 visiting faculty, including more than 25 international faculty hailing from renowned global institutions such as Yale, Kellogg, Stanford and Harvard, as per the release.
