The Graduate Aptitude in Engineering (GATE) 2025, a prestigious examination conducted annually for engineering and science graduates has officially announced its exam schedule. Students can access the schedule on the official website of GATE-gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The examination is slated to be held on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025. Candidates of Mechanical Engineering (ME), Computer Science (CS), and Architecture can review the examination dates according to specific papers. Examinations will be held in two shifts- one will start from 9:30 and will go on till 2:30 and the second shift will commence from 2:30 pm and will end at 5:30 pm.

The correction window for the application has been extended by the IIT Roorkee from 10 November to 20 November, now candidates will be able to make changes to their application forms.
Key dates to remember
For preparing for the examination, candidates can also take mock tests, the links of the same have been activated on the official website. Students will be able to download their admit cards from 2 January 2025 onwards and the results are expected to be out by 19 March 2025.
The pattern of the examination of GATE 2025 will include three types of multiple choice questions (MCQ) , multiple select questions (MSQ) and numerical type (NAT) questions.
By clearing this national-level examination, the candidate will be able to get admission to pursue a Master in Technology (MTech) and will get a chance for direct admissions to all the prestigious Indian Technology Institutes in India (IITs) as well as the National Institute of Technology (NITs)s. Job prospects are also very high if a candidate gets to crack GATE examination, one may land jobs as engineers and scientists in Public Sector Units (PSUs) and state electricity boards (SEBs).
The eligibility criteria for this examination are that a candidate needs to be studying in 3rd year of any graduation course can apply. All the students who have a graduation degree in subjects like Engineering, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Architecture can apply for the examination.
