The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-R) announced the results for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) on March 19. Candidates can access their results through the official website — gate2025.iitr.ac.in — by logging in with their roll number, date of birth, and Captcha code.

To check the results, students need to visit the GOAPS portal at gate2025.iitr.ac.in, log in using their enrollment ID or registered email address and password, and then click on the ‘GATE 2025 result’ tab. The result will appear on the screen, which should be downloaded and saved for future reference.

The GATE 2025 scorecard will display section-wise marks, the overall score, and the All India Rank (AIR). However, the scorecard will only be issued to those candidates who meet the prescribed cut-off marks. This year, the exam was conducted across 30 test papers between February 1 and 16.

GATE cut-off scores depend on several factors, including the total number of candidates, seat availability in participating institutions, exam difficulty level, and trends from previous years. These elements collectively influence the final cut-off marks.

Institutes that accept GATE scores include the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, along with IITs in Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee. Additionally, some foreign universities permit Indian students to use GATE scores instead of GRE. In recent years, countries like Singapore and Germany have accepted GATE scores for admissions.

GATE 2024 was held on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The response sheets were released on February 15, while the answer keys and question papers were made available on February 19. Candidates were allowed to raise objections to the answer keys between February 22 and 25.
