GATE 2025 registration: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will commence the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 today (August 28). Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official GATE 2025 website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

The deadline for submitting applications without a late fee is September 26, 2024. For those applying with a late fee, the final date is October 7, 2024.

The GATE 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, with two shifts each day. Candidates are permitted to appear for up to two papers.

GATE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates currently in their 3rd year or beyond of any undergraduate program.
  • Graduates or postgraduates with a degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities from a recognized institution.
  • Individuals with certification from professional societies approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to BE/BTech/BArch/BPlanning are also eligible.
  • Candidates with degrees from institutions outside India must be in their 3rd year or beyond, or have completed a Bachelor’s degree (minimum three years) in the relevant fields.

GATE 2025: Documents Required

  • A high-quality photograph meeting the specifications outlined in the information brochure.
  • A high-quality image of the candidate’s signature.
  • Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate, if applicable.
  • Scanned copy of PwD Certificate, if applicable.
  • Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia, if applicable.
  • Scanned copy of a valid photo ID: Aadhar-UID (preferred), Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License. The photo ID must include the candidate’s name, date of birth, and a unique identification number. The original ID must be presented on the exam day for verification.

GATE 2025: Application Fee

  • Regular Period: Rs 900 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates; Rs 1,800 for all other candidates.
  • Extended Period: Rs 1,400 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates; Rs 2,300 for all other candidates.
