FUEL Business School has recently become an affiliated institution of the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), an entrance examination for MBA and PGDM programmes organised by XLRI, or Xavier School of Management, acting on behalf of XAMI (XLRI Associate Management Institutes). This integration aims to create fresh opportunities for individuals aspiring to pursue business education from various socio-economic backgrounds in India. XAT 2024 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at various examination centers across India, according to an official release.

FUEL is dedicated to providing cost-effective management education to students hailing from the remote and underserved regions of India. The business school operates entirely on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding, with the primary goal of nurturing a generation of young individuals who can actively engage in society and find meaningful employment. FUEL’s programmes place a strong emphasis on skill development, equipping students to navigate, innovate, and adapt in the ever-evolving workplace where technological advancements continually challenge professionals to stay at the forefront of their fields, the release mentioned.

The partnership between FUEL and XAT extends the reach of business education, a highly sought-after and often exclusive academic pursuit. This collaboration levels the playing field for candidates who may not have extensive financial resources or prestigious educational backgrounds. In FUEL’s admission process, competitive exam scores carry a 20% weightage, while the remaining components of the merit evaluation encompass past academic records, group discussions, personal interviews, written assessments, and the candidate’s overall profile, as per the release.

“Our goal is to bring business education to underserved communities in India, and our association with XAT will enhance our visibility. Over 17 years, FUEL has impacted more than one lakh students and provided skill training to over 88,000 youth through impactful CSR projects. Our strong partnerships with corporates, including names like bp, Oracle, and LTI Mindtree, have been vital to our model’s success,” Ketan Deshpande, founder chairman, CEO, FUEL, said.
