NEET UG 2024: What are the eligibility criteria and minimum passing percentage?
To qualify for NEET UG, applicants must fulfil the following conditions. Firstly, candidates should have completed their grade 12th education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biology and English as core subjects, recognised by a reputable board. Additionally, individuals currently enrolled in the grade 12th and set to appear for the examination are also eligible to submit their applications.
Candidates must meet the minimum pass percentage requirements set by the authority for different categories in grade 12th. For the Unreserved Category, a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required. Meanwhile, for the OBC/SC/ST and PWD categories, the minimum pass percentage in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is 40%.
NEET UG 2024: Number of attempts?
Candidates can take the NEET UG exam multiple times without limitations on attempts. Furthermore, there is no upper age limit, but the minimum age requirement remains at 17 years.
NEET UG 2024: Exam pattern and mark allocation
The NEET UG exam is structured around four subjects namely : Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany, each with two sections, A and B. Section A includes 35 questions worth 140 marks, while Section B contains 15 questions worth a total of 40 marks. The exam as a whole is designed to have a total value of 720 marks.

NEET UG 2024: What are the facilities for candidates with disabilities?
Candidates falling under the category of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible to receive support in the form of a scribe if they encounter physical constraints that hinder their ability to write the examination. This assistance requires certification from a chief medical officer (CMO), civil surgeon, or medical superintendent of a government healthcare institution. Moreover, regardless of whether they opt for scribe services, these candidates are granted an additional hour of compensatory time for examinations with a duration of three hours.
