CUET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for students preparing for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026, which is scheduled to be held in May. Once the application process begins, candidates will be able to fill and submit their forms on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.

In its notice, the NTA said that details about programmes and courses offered by Central Universities and other participating institutions are available on the CUET (UG) portal as well as on the official websites of the respective universities. Students can also check and download the CUET UG 2026 syllabus from the official website.

Exam to be held in CBT mode

The CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. It will be used for admission to undergraduate courses in 47 central universities and more than 300 colleges across the country.

The agency also said that candidates will be given a chance to make corrections if there is any mismatch between the name on their Aadhaar card and their Class 10 marksheet while filling the CUET UG 2026 application form.

Earlier, the NTA had advised aspirants to update their Aadhaar details, UDID card, and category certificates before the application window opens, so that there are no issues later. For the CUET UG 2026 application, the NTA will take details such as date of birth, gender, and address from the UDID certificate through Aadhaar authentication, along with other required information.

However, since Aadhaar does not include the names of parents or guardians, candidates will have to enter these details separately in the application form, as mentioned in the notice.

NTA lists top aggregate scores instead of toppers

Meanwhile, CUET UG 2025 was held from May 13 to June 4 over a period of 19 days in 35 shifts. Instead of declaring toppers, the NTA listed the application numbers of candidates who scored the highest aggregate NTA scores in five subjects. The top five aggregate scores this year were 1225.93, 1210.10, 1205.17, 1203.40 and 1200.12.

According to NTA data, only one candidate scored 100 percentile in four out of five subjects. Seventeen candidates scored 100 percentile in three subjects. The number of students who scored 100 percentile in two subjects was 150, while 2,679 candidates achieved 100 percentile in one subject.
