CSIR-UGC NET Results: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research–University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) results for December 2024 are expected to be released soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Once declared, candidates who appeared for the exam can access their scorecards through the official website: csirnet.nta.ac.in.
Exam held across 164 cities
The CSIR UGC NET December 2024 exam was conducted on February 28, March 1, and March 2, 2025, across 326 centres in 164 cities throughout India. A total of 2,38,451 candidates appeared for the exam. The test determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges across India.

Once the results are released, candidates can follow these steps:
- Visit the official website: csirnet.nta.ac.in
- Click on the link for “CSIR UGC NET December 2024 Results.”
- Enter your roll number and date of birth as login credentials.
- View and download your result.
- Take a printout for future reference.
Result format and cut-off marks
The results will be published in the form of percentile scores, along with raw or normalised scores for subjects conducted in multiple shifts. The NTA will also release the cut-off marks alongside the result. The cut-off is the minimum qualifying score and varies for each subject.
Based on trends and competition levels, this year’s cut-off is anticipated to be higher than the previous year. Candidates are advised to check the subject-wise cut-offs carefully once announced.

Candidates who qualify will be eligible to receive eligibility certificates and JRF Award Letters from the NTA. They can then apply for Assistant Professor roles or pursue research fellowships in institutions across India.
