Coto, the developers of a social community app exclusively for women, have joined forces with Million Minds, an edu-tech and media-tech platform. Together, they have introduced ‘She Academy.’ This joint initiative is designed to empower and engage with young women, aged 18-20, who are poised to step into the corporate world, according to an official release.
The inaugural phase of ‘She Academy’ has commenced, focusing on major metro cities such as Chennai, New Delhi, Pune and Bangalore. Following this launch, the initiative is set to expand its reach to over 30 cities, encompassing more than 100 Indian campuses, the release noted.
The initiative seeks to tap into the potential of young women from campuses nationwide, providing online and offline college workshops and skill sessions. ‘She Academy’ comprises two essential modules: one focusing on personality development, including workshops on soft skills, life skills, mental health and wellbeing, and the other centred around entrepreneurship, upskilling and technological advancements, the release mentioned.
“With a common goal of empowering young girls and helping them realise their true potential at the right age, we aim to revolutionise the way women’s careers take shape,” Aparna Acharekar, co-founder, coto, said.
These sessions will be exclusively accessible through the ‘She Academy’ community on Coto, allowing students to participate from any location. With a specific emphasis on tier I and II cities, the community will feature handpicked experts conducting skill development sessions and addressing queries.
This initiative is poised to unleash a wealth of talent from across the country, making them available for employment across various industries. The partnership between Coto and Million Minds underscores their dedication to empowering young women and fostering industry-wide collaboration for HR excellence, it added.
