The Consortium for Technical Education (CTE) to conduct a Virtual Internship Programme in Cybersecurity in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). This programme is beginning on 25th November 2023, according to the press release. 

The Internship, spanning 10 weeks, claims to be structured to provide students with an immersive learning experience in the dynamic field of cybersecurity. Participants, carefully chosen by APSSDC, possess fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity and networking, basic programming skills and familiarity with various operating systems. This programme aims to equip students with practical insights into career opportunities in cybersecurity, as mentioned in the release. 

During the 10-week programme, it claims that the students will engage in various activities tailored to enhance their skills. In the initial three weeks, participants will engage in intensive learning modules, gaining a solid foundation in cybersecurity concepts. Subsequently, during weeks four to seven, students will immerse themselves in a capstone project, applying their skills in real-world scenarios and fostering collaborative learning and problem-solving abilities. 

The final phase, weeks eight to ten, focuses on advanced skill-building sessions and hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, providing participants with a deep understanding of sophisticated cybersecurity techniques and practices. This structured approach ensures participants develop a holistic understanding of cybersecurity, preparing them for successful careers in this dynamic field.

The programme claims to facilitate close collaboration with experienced mentors from the Security Operations Center team. These mentors will provide guidance, support and insights, allowing interns to engage in diverse cybersecurity projects, including threat analysis and incident response. Alsi, participants will receive a certificate upon completing the program, recognising their expertise and enhancing their professional profiles, the release informed.
