The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023 conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 3. The conducting bodies have issued the exam guidelines that should be followed by every candidate to sit for the exam. The instructions clearly state that about bell timings, code of conduct, cover rules, etc.

The national exam will be held in 131 cities in 23 states and 4 union territories across the country for admission to 24 national law universities and more than 60 affiliated law colleges. CLAT covers admission to BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB, and B.Sc LLB and LLM courses.

Registered candidates are required to follow the below mentioned points:

Dress code

Candidates appearing for CLAT 2024 have to dress in a specific way that doesn’t come as susceptible like only half sleeved light colored clothes are allowed in the exam premises. Students are permitted to wear close shoes, and wear slippers and sandals only. Additionally, no ornaments including lockets, chains, nose pins, rings are allowed.

Items to carry

It is essential to carry your own ID Proof which has candidates’ picture, Black or Blue Ball Point Pens, an Analogue Watch and a Transparent Water Bottle, if required.

Items not to carry

There is a list of items that are prohibited inside the exam premises for candidates to carry that includes, Calculator, Digital Watch, Study Material, Mobile Phone, Bags and any sort of Camera.

Exam guidelines

A day before CLAT 2024 candidates should be aware of the following exam guidelines:

  • Candidates must arrive at least one hour before the exam begins.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam after 15 minutes of its start.
  • CLAT admit cards must be signed in front of an invigilator by candidates.
  • He/she will be allowed to leave the examination hall only when the exam is finished.
