BITS Pilani has recently unveiled a partnership with Airlinq, a prominent US-based global technology company specialising in telecommunications and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, with the aim of taking the lead in the realms of 5G and IoT innovation. This collaboration comes as a pivotal component of the newly initiated ‘5G Use Case Labs’ during the Indian Mobile Congress 2023, a venture inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and supported by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) India, according to an official release.
These state-of-the-art 5G laboratories will serve as fertile grounds for cultivating cutting-edge applications across a diverse spectrum, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication. BITS Pilani and Airlinq have united forces to spearhead innovation, showcasing their commitment to pioneering advancements that will propel India into the promising future of 5G technology. Airlinq, recognised for its proficiency in enabling global enterprises and mobile service providers to harness the capabilities of 5G networks in various verticals, particularly in areas such as connected vehicles and smart cities, stands as an instrumental partner in this venture, the release mentioned.
