The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will be announcing the results of Teacher Recruitment Exam 2023 very soon on the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in. The exam for TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), PGT (Post Graduate Teacher), and Primary Teacher took place on August 24, 25 and 26. Candidates who appeared for the exam are required to visit the official website to check the results.
Furthermore, the BPSC has extended the due date for downloading BPSC OMR sheets for the school teacher test until October 15, enabling applicants to access their OMR sheets by logging into their individual dashboards.
Here are the steps to follow to check results online:
- Step 1: Go to bpsc.bih.nic.in to access the official website.
- Step 2: Select the offered result link.
- Step 3 is to submit your credentials.
- Step 4: The outcome will be shown. Verify it thoroughly.
- Step 5: Download the results and print them out for your records.
The exam was conducted to fill the vacancy of around 1,70,461 teaching seats in the state, out of which, 57,602 seats are vacant for PGT, 32,916 seats are for TGT and for Primary class 79,943 are vacant.
The final selection for BPSC candidates are required to qualify three steps of the selection process including, written exam, Document verification and finally medical examination. According to examination criteria, to qualify the written exam, candidates are required to secure a minimum 40% in the test for general category. For OBC candidates, the cut-off is set at 36.5% while SC and ST students have to secure a minimum 34%. The exam also gives concession to women candidates and PwD candidates of atleast 2 percent.
Notably, the Document Verification process for applicants was carried out by BPSC in September. The BPSC Chairman then made a comment about the DV procedure on October 8 and said that during the examination of the TRE DV, it was found that several candidates had submitted erroneous certificates and had failed to provide the relevant certificates during the DV.
