All India Management Association (AIMA), announces the commencement of MAT 2023 December edition from December 3 to 17. Since its inception in 1988, MAT has been one of the ways for MBA, PGDM, MMS aspirants seeking admissions to top-tier Business Schools in India, as per the official announcement.
One of the features of the exam is its versatile testing modes— Paper-Based Test (PBT), Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Internet-Based Test (IBT). Moreover, the test being conducted four times a year ensures its accessibility and flexibility for candidates coming from diverse backgrounds, the statement added.
“MAT stands as a beacon for students, offering a gateway to shape their careers. It’s more than an exam – it’s a journey toward excellence, endorsed by the highest authorities and trusted for over 35 years. The allure of management studies has surged massively in India, due to the rising need for competent management brainpower in the complex corporate world. Therefore, our exam serves as a pivotal force in shaping these aspirants with effective leadership and strategic acumen. We believe that this influx of skilled professionals would strengthen the nation’s future, adding to the economic growth and sustainability,” Sanjay Grover, director, AIMA, said.
MAT claims to present an assessment through its five distinct sections. Language Comprehension evaluates candidates on their adeptness in understanding and interpreting written content. Quantitative Ability checks for mathematical and analytical skills. Data Analysis and Sufficiency challenge candidates’ capability to analyse and interpret data effectively. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning scrutinize logical situations, creating a holistic evaluation platform that assesses a diverse range of competencies essential for success in the dynamic business landscape. Finally, the Indian and Global Environment section evaluates that candidates are aware of latest developments around the globe along with the general awareness and current affairs.
