Google had turned a lot of heads in the smartphone market, not only when it had launched its own devices, the Google Pixel, but also what came along with it, the Google Assistant. The hugely popular AI-powered voice assistant is now expected to come to non-Pixel smartphones as well, especially the Pixel devices. Earlier it was reported that Google was planning to bring the Assistant to Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P smartphones also. The Google Assistant is one of the most important features that the tech giant had brought with its Pixel smartphone.
9to5Google had earlier claimed that Google Assistant will arrive at the Nexus 5X, 6P devices sometime. Google Home, as well as Google Allo app, will also support the voice-assistant, according to the report. In the case of the Pixel, the assistant can be fired up by just long pressing the home button. According to other rumours, Google Assistant on Pixel, Pixel XL will be able to support the ability to control smart home appliances, but such a feature hasn’t rolled out to all. Now, according to a new Android Police report, there is a new Google app APK file (alpha v6.13) that its code, had details about the process for payment using Google Assistant. But before you jump to install the APK file, you have been warned in the program that the build is highly unstable and might cause crashes, and result in some problems on the Pixel phone.
According to rumours, the LG G6 could be the first smartphone to feature the new assistant, before we see more devices being added. This is great news for technology, as Google had brought the Google Now for other devices after it launched for its Nexus smartphones, which took the way forward, for a generation of virtual voice activated assistants.
