The US government expelled gangster Anmol Bishnoi on Tuesday — paving the way for his return to India. The younger brother of Lawrence Bishnoi had fled the country in 2022 using forged travel documents. He was the primary accused in several high-profile cases including the murder Baba Siddique and the firing incident outside the home of actor Salman Khan.

According to an NDTV report, the US Department of Homeland Security had shared the deportation email with Zeeshan Siddiqui earlier on Tuesday. The gangster had been arrested by American authorities in November 2024 for entering with illegal documents. Reports citing intelligence sources had indicated at the time that he was likely to be deported in line with a request from New Delhi.

“This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government. The offender was removed on November 18, 2025,” the email on Tuesday explained.

“My family has registered as a victim family in the United States. From the victim notification, we get updates about Anmol Bishnoi. Today, we’ve got a mail that the federal government has removed Anmol Bishnoi from the United States as of November 18. The question arises whether he is being deported to India? My strong request to the central government is to bring him back if he’s removed from America, and for the state government as well, to bring him back to Mumbai and to make sure that he’s interrogated and arrested,” Zeeshan Siddique told ANI.
