The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest bulletin has warned that there will be isolated heavy rainfall over Gujarat Region and Madhya Pradesh on July 28. The IMD has issued a red alert for both regions. Moreover, Goa, interior Karnataka, Konkan, and Madhya Maharashtra are expected to get very heavy rainfall for the next two days. The intensity of the rainfall is likely to reduce gradually in the coming days.

IMD Forecast for heavy rainfall for Central India

The Weather Department has notified that there will be very heavy downpours in Central India for the next two days. East Madhya Pradesh will experience it from July 28 to July 31. Kutch and Saurashtra will get it today. Heavy precipitation will take place over Vidharbha and Madhya Pradesh on July 28 and July 31. Chhattisgarh will experience it on July 28, 30 and 31. Madhya Maharashtra, Goa, and Konkan will deal with the same weather conditions from July 29 to July 31.

Moderate rainfall warning along with thunderstorms and lightning

A widespread rainfall is expected to extend its cover over Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Haryana, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad for the upcoming five days. Additionally, an average moderate rainfall along with lightning and thunderstorms is projected over East Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. West Rajasthan and Uttarakhand will receive it on July 28 and July 29.

Heavy rainfall warning for Southern India and Northeast Region

The Met Department has forecast very heavy rainfall in coastal Karnataka, Mahe, and Kerala on July 28. Likewise, south-north interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Karaikal, and Puducherry will have the same weather pattern for today. Mahe and Kerala will experience it on July 29 and July 30.

An average rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely to occur over Northeast India and east India in the next five days. Heavy showers are anticipated in Manipur, Nagaland on July 29 and July 30. Sikkim, sub-Himalayan West Bengal likely to get it on July 29, Bihar might experience it from July 29 to July 31, and Jharkhand on July 30 and July 31. An isolated heavy rainfall is predicted to happen in Meghalaya, Assam from July 28 to July 31st. Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Manipur will get it from July 28 to July 31, whereas Arunachal Pradesh might get it from July 28 to July 29.
