In its latest release, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast hefty rainfall in Goa, South Konkan, North Interior Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh on June 10th. On the contrary, heatwave conditions will continue to occur over Uttar Pradesh and East India for the next four days.
The Met Department in its latest findings has mentioned that the Southwest Monsoon has further made progress over to Mumbai, additional areas of Maharashtra, and the remaining parts of the central Arabian Sea, and north Arabian Sea.
IMD’s heavy rainfall forecast:
A cyclonic circulation is present over northeast Assam at lower tropospheric levels as indicated in its weather bulletin by the IMD. As a result of this weather pattern, there will be isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Coastal Karnataka, south Madhya Pradesh, Goa, and Konkan on June 10th and over North Interior Karnataka from June 10th to June 11th. Similarly, it is also expected that there will be fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya Nagaland and Manipur in upcoming six days.
Heatwave Warning for THESE states:
The IMD report has also warned that severe heatwave conditions are likely to impact isolated places in Uttar Pradesh starting from June 11th to June 13th. West Bengal, Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, and Punjab will also be in the grip of heatwave weather conditions from June 10th to June 13th. As per the weather bulletin, Delhi, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand will deal with similar weather patterns from June 11th to June 13th.

As per the forecast for the national capital, there will be a partly cloudy sky, and heatwave conditions at isolated places. There might be strong surface winds sometimes during the day.
