Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, along with his family, visited the Mahakumbh Mela on Tuesday, February 11, taking a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam near Prayagraj. He was accompanied by his mother, Kokilaben Ambani, his son Akash, daughter-in-law Shloka, and son Anant with Radhika. Arriving via helicopter on the eve of Maghi Purnima, Ambani later traveled by car to the sangam, where security was heightened to manage the massive gathering.
Reliance Foundation is actively contributing to the Mahakumbh 2025 experience through its ‘Teerth Yatri Seva’ initiative. This program offers free meals, medical assistance, transport support, enhanced safety measures and improved connectivity, ensuring a seamless pilgrimage. In collaboration with spiritual leaders and local authorities, it includes community kitchens, round-the-clock medical aid, battery-operated vehicles for the elderly, and life jackets for safer dips in the Ganges.

Before the Ambani family’s visit, several prominent figures, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had also participated in the sacred ritual. The event has drawn millions of devotees to the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s estimate of 45 crore pilgrims was met 15 days ahead of schedule. By 8 a.m. on Tuesday, the number of bathers had already reached 45 crore, with projections suggesting a total of 50-55 crore as the rare once-in-144-years event progresses.
