The attackers then shot Singh at close range while he was still inside the car, before fleeing the scene.
Singh was rushed to a nearby government hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the culprits and expedite their arrest.
Ashish Singh Baghel, BJP Kashi province regional minister and college manager, stated that Singh had been with the institution since 1994, initially as a teacher, and had recently taken over as principal on July 1, 2024.
