Samajwadi Party’s National President Legal Wing Gaurav Bhatia resigned on Sunday, reported ANI. “I have decided to resign from the post of SP’s and all posts related to Samajwadi Party, said Bhatia. On Thursday, Bhatia was rooting for Akhilesh Yadav as the chief ministerial candidate for Uttar Pradesh polls. He said not just SP, but other like-minded political parties also see a bright future in Akhilesh. “I think it is very clear that in Akhilesh Yadav, not just the Samajwadi Party or the people of Uttar Pradesh, but also other like-minded political parties see a bright future,” Bhatia had told ANI.
He also tweeted:

On his Facebook he wrote:
Speaking to CNN-News18, Bhatia said he would not specify why he was resigning, but said that he would not be joining any other political party. “My late father contributed a lot to the party and the government,” Bhatia said. “Both Akhilesh Yadav and Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) are important to me.I have sent my resignation to them.”
