BJP MLA Sarita Bhadauriya from Etawah narrowly escaped a potential tragedy after falling onto the railway tracks during the flag-off of the Agra-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express on Monday. Videos of the incident have since surfaced on social media, capturing the chaotic moments on the crowded platform.

The incident took place around 6 pm when the train, numbered 20175, arrived at Etawah station after a stop at Tundla. Bhadauriya, 61, was among the dignitaries gathered to wave the green flag following the virtual inauguration of the train by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. MoS Railway Ravneet Singh Bittu officiated the flag-off from Agra.

When the train was about to depart, the platform descended into chaos as supporters jostled for position. Amid the commotion, Bhadauriya was inadvertently pushed off the platform, falling onto the tracks in front of the stationary train.

Fortunately, bystanders and police acted swiftly, stopping the train and rescuing Bhadauriya before any harm could occur. She was immediately helped off the tracks and later consulted doctors. While there were no visible injuries, her team confirmed she is resting at home and awaiting further medical evaluations for any potential internal injuries.
