UPSC coaching teacher and motivational speaker Avadh Ojha joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday, in the presence of party chief Arvind Kejriwal and senior leader Manish Sisodia.
Ojha, who is known for his work in coaching aspirants for the UPSC exams, expressed his alignment with the party’s ideology, particularly its focus on the future of children.
He described the development of education as his greatest ambition. “I want to thank Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia for giving me a chance to work in the field of education in politics,” Ojha said after joining AAP.
Kejriwal welcomed Ojha to the party, saying that his addition would strengthen the party’s efforts in the education sector, which, he believes, will ultimately contribute to the nation’s growth.
Sisodia, the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, also praised Ojha’s contributions to education, noting that Ojha had dedicated his life to the cause.
With Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February next year, AAP, which secured 62 out of 70 seats in the 2020 elections, is aiming for a third consecutive term.
