Seven men were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the violent clashes that took place in Sambhal on November 24, which resulted in four deaths.
According to police, 47 people have been arrested in total, and 91 individuals have been identified as suspects.
The men arrested on Tuesday have been named as Shoaib, Sujauddin, Rahat, Mohd Azam, Azharuddin, Javed, and Mustafa. Police have formed teams to apprehend other individuals involved in the violence.

So far, 11 FIRs have been registered in relation to the incident. The violence erupted on November 24 during a survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid, which had been under scrutiny following a court order regarding a petition that claimed a Harihar temple had existed on the site.
The situation had been tense since November 19, when the initial survey was conducted. Clashes broke out on November 24 as the mosque was surveyed again. The violence involved stone-pelting in Pakka Baag Hindu Pura Kheda, the burning of a police motorcycle, and the looting of a police pistol’s magazine and cartridges.
In the ensuing chaos, four people were killed, and numerous others were injured, including 29 police personnel.
