A man posted on X, formerly Twitter, that he recently received an Amazon order that was cancelled two years ago. In a world where same-day delivery is becoming a trend, the X user named Jay stated that two years ago he placed an order for a pressure cooker on Amazon and later on, he cancelled the order and even received his money back.
After two years, the package knocked at his doorstep despite his cancellation of the order, making him feel both confused and amused. “Thank you Amazon for delivering my order after 2 years. The cook is elated after the prolonged wait, must be a very special pressure cooker!,” the tweet reads.
As per the post, Jay placed an order for the pressure cooker on October 1, 2022, and two years later on August 28, 2024, he received the item. The post was written on August 29 and so far it has received numerous comments and over 120K views.
After the post went viral over the internet, other people added their own tales and experiences regarding delayed deliveries and began referring to the delayed delivery as if it had come from Mars.
Interestingly, in response to the widely shared message, Amazon wrote, “Hi there, we’re sorry to hear this. Kindly report this to our support team.” To which Jay replied, “Report what? The order was cancelled and refunded back in 2022? And delivered out of nowhere yesterday. How do I pay for it now?”
