In a coordinated effort, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana police carried out a joint operation resulting in the arrest of two men suspected of plotting explosions in Hyderabad.
Acting on a tip-off, authorities detained Siraj Ur Rehman, 29, from Vizianagaram. A search of his premises led to the seizure of explosive materials, including ammonia, sulphur, and aluminium powder, police said on Sunday.
“In the course of the investigation, Rehman revealed details leading to the detention of another individual, Syed Sameer (28), from Hyderabad,” police added.
Both suspects are currently in custody and will be presented before a court. Officials have urged the public to remain alert and cooperative.
