Three former Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) MLAs — Jogiram Sihag, Anoop Dhanak (a close aide of former Haryana deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala), and Ram Kumar Gautam — joined the BJP during the Jan Ashirwad rally in Jind on Sunday.
Shakti Rani Sharma, the mother of Manu Sharma (convicted in the Jessica Lal murder case), also joined the BJP at the event. She was joined by her son, Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma. Shakti Rani Sharma is married to former Congress leader Venod Sharma and is herself a former Union minister.

“It is my good luck that I am standing here today. It is 200 per cent sure that Nayab Singh Saini shall become the chief minister of Haryana because a competent leader is one who takes everybody along and treats everybody equally. Before Manohar Lal Khattar started his tenure in Haryana, I had seen several other governments. During those regimes, a culture of parchi-kharchi (recommendations) prevailed. Manohar Lal Khattar ended it completely,” Gautam said at the rally.
At the gathering, Ram Kumar Gautam spoke highly of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for regularising many unauthorised colonies, saying it relieved people of the challenges they were facing. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for key actions like building the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and revoking Article 370.

Gautam shared that he had told Nayab Singh Saini about his son, who is a skilled lawyer and usually not interested in politics, but now wanted to join the BJP. Gautam then requested the chief minister to welcome his son into the party, and Saini went on to induct him into the BJP.
Shakti Rani Sharma also spoke in favor of PM Modi, expressing that she was impressed with the BJP’s ideology and the initiatives taken by the prime minister for women’s upliftment.

Former Rohtak MP Arvind Sharma, who recently lost to Congress’s Deepender Hooda in the Lok Sabha elections, urged the public to remember why they removed the Congress from power. “Have those people changed? You need to compare the unprecedented development and public welfare steps taken during the BJP’s 10-year rule… lakhs of people got jobs during Manohar Lal Khattar and Nayab Singh Saini’s tenure. The Congress is only spreading lies. During the Lok Sabha polls, too, they spread lies about the Constitution… and got stuck at 99. But the Congress’s lies now stand exposed. I can assure you all that with your blessings, Nayab Singh Saini shall become Haryana’s chief minister for the second time and the BJP will form the government for the third time,” he said.
BJP state chief Mohan Lal Badoli added,” You have only seen the trailer of Nayab Singh Saini, the movie is pending. When we form the government for the third time, you will get to see the full movie. Lots of rumours will be spread. For instance, rumours were spread on social media that Amit Shah had to cancel his visit here today. I would like to urge you all to stay cautious and beware of the Congress’s lies. This time only the BJP’s truth will prevail. Nayab Singh Saini’s devotion and dedication will reap fruits this time.”
The upcoming Assembly elections are expected to be intense, especially with the three former JJP leaders—Ramkumar Gautam, Jogi Ram Sihag, and Anoop Dhanak—joining the BJP after defeating BJP candidates in 2019.
